About Combat Warriors:
An enjoyable game that has the right balance between a fully fledged combat flight simulator and a more arcade/action flight sim, with options to change the gameplay to a style that fits better to one of these ends of the spectrum. Truly what really captured my attention was the simplistic design and graphics, which resemble those of the old 90s flight sims, and I have a special affinity for them. Another benefit of the design choice is the ability to play on low-end devices: running this game on a low-end laptop i still get good and consistent framerates on dogfights, though it drops quite drastically on arena mode due to the amount of units. As of the time I’m writing this review, I wouldn’t reccommend this game to someone looking for a complete game due to it’s price, but it is definitively worth it to those who are willing to follow its development and keep coming back as new content is added. A great game to play when I’m not in the mood for DCS, but don’t to play something “arcade-y” like AC7 or Project Wingman. The visual style feels very 90s, and as really throws me back to a lot of the games my dad used to play when I was growing up. It is early access, and may feel a little bare bones now, but i feel there is a lot to add to this game in the future. Remember too, this game is being developed by ONE PERSON. Join the official discord and you will see how active he is with updates. If you are expecting the same speed of development and content as a AAA title, you are looking in the wrong place.
